It would be great if the program offered a calendar that you can customize for your individual school (start & end dates, vacations) and will allow you to change schedules for special programs or create a coverage schedule.18 votes
It would complete the product if as a separate module there was a lesson or class notes option so you could record a summary of what was done during a particular lesson, and this could be attached to rooms, teachers or students etc, so that a record of total materials covered could be printed out per room, teacher, student etc.13 votes
For part-time teachers who can only teach one or two days per week, but are flexible on which weekdays they are available.
We have some teachers who need to be able to have all their lessons in the fewest days possible so they can reduce the time they spend traveling each week.6 votes
Maybe you can pick certain days and use the marker to forbid or mark as unwanted other days? http://www.primetimetable.com/help/#unwanted&q
If the generator can’t solve the constraints you can quickly choose other days by using markers, e.g. switch to teacher individual view where you can quickly forbid certain days by clicking day name with the red marker.
We are trying to keep the number of constraints as low as possible in order to reduce the complexity of software and this looks like too specific constraints which can be simulated with what is already available.
We have lessons running from the morning until the evening, but we don't want to schedule a class to start in the first period of the day and have them stay until the last period of the day.
I would like to have a maximum time set for each class between when their first lesson of the day starts, and their last lesson of the day ends.3 votes
This looks like it is possible to do today. You need to use the red marker (the marker with minus sign) and mark forbidden positions for specific class. More about markers in the user guide: http://www.primetimetable.com/help/#marker&q
