  1. Option to include alternate teachers as an option where more than one teacher is qualified to teach a class. This would further optimization and reduce timetable conflicts while avoiding manual substitutions.

  2. Give prof subjects they can teach and then just create the activity without having to select the prof rather let the software do it to minimize conflicts.
If you have 3 profs for the same subject one could be assigned to a class automatically rather than having to shift it around manualy

  3. Currently when you share a timetable to a person ( viewer or editor), they automatically gets access to rest of the timetable's in the account.
Can this be improved that they have access only to what they are given permission for?
This will be very useful when sharing with various teachers or in multi campus environment.
Will greatly improve security and access control for users.

  4. When exporting completed timeable to a school management information system sometimes the class codes need to be already predetermined. Currently Prime auto generates the class code once timetable is completed. Adding a column to the import tab allows a school to maintain the class code it wants.

  5. We need to be able to see the logs for any given timetable. We should be able to see the details of who created what, who modified it, when, etc. to avoid any confusion - especially when multiple people are working on a certain table. Could we start from here maybe? Because logging is a somewhat standard procedure, so hopefully it shouldn't be a problem to add that to the website. If such a feature is already available, I couldn't locate it. There is only the time of the last modification under the "Open Timetable" menu.

  6. Delimiter is automatically set to be comma when importing activities, but users should be given the option to set other punctuation marks as the delimiter. Otherwise, if there is a comma in Teacher's names (e.g. First Name, Last Name), two teachers will be wrongly imported rather than only one as the comma is recognized as the delimiter, not text.

  7. We had to manually figure out who are available on each period to cover for absent colleagues. Is it possible to make a cover schedule automatically?

  8. In NYC we have to be cautious of the UFT contract so it would be nice to be able to preference the solver to deal with certain errors before the other errors. The card conflicts and the the teacher gaps absolutely need to be dealt with before the same day subjects so we aren't in violation of the contract. The solver seems to do card conflicts and then same day subjects which is not helpful.

  11. It would be great to have an option to put constraints on how many times a class can show up for one teacher in one day so as not to have one class show up 3-4 times in one day.

  13. For PowerSchool exports, we need to be able to export part of the timetable as Semester 1, part as Semester 2 and part as Year-long courses. For the coming school year, Semester 1 has a term ID of 3101, Semester 2 is 3102 and year-long courses are 3100.

It is also important to be able to control the codes that get exported. In our case, the first 6 days represent first semester courses and the expression that gets exported is something like 2(A-F), which is what PowerSchool accepts. However, the next 6 days represent semester 2 and Prime Timetables exports…

  14. Sometimes, I don't want the lessons to be moved from the current days and periods, but want to adjust rooms of those lessons by clicking "improve timetable". If there is a function which enables us to pin lessons to that periods while not pinning lessons to the current rooms, that would be very useful.

  16. Lock down classrooms so its much harder to move them (eg by right click and edit)

... in our case we book rooms in distinct locations and we cant risk moving them around by accident.

  18. Currently in order to display the groups info in a card you need to add the class info. This results in cluttering the timetable when several classes have groups having a lesson at the same time. The intended behaviour however works fine when exporting as HTML Spreadsheet - it only displays the group and not all classes.
The same should happen when Printing the timetable direclty from the print option

  19. I couldn't find a way to use the auto-scheduling that would schedule a class during the same time of day every day. The scheduling seemed unnecessarily random, so I had to do everything manually.

  20. A WordPress Plugin to pull the calendars from the Prime Timetable website into other WordPress website would be very helpful for distributing schedules on a portal.
